Youre accepted! Now, where do you live!

Youre accepted! Now, where do you live! Congrats! You are now accepted to the University of Illinois! I know that this excitement comes with a lot of questions. When I first got accepted, one of my biggest questions was, “Where am I going to live?” There are a few different options. Since I transferred in, I could have picked an apartment or residence hall to live in. However, I thought it would be best to try out a residence hall to get the college experience and meet some people. I chose the Transfer Cluster, which is a section of a residence hall specifically designated for transfer students. There are a lot of living options that suit different needs. For instance, there are Living-Learning Communities (LLCs). These include options like Honors, Health Professions, Women in Math, Science, and Engineering, and many more. Also, there are different locations that may be more convenient for you. For example,  the residence halls that are located in Ikenberry Commons have a close proximity to the ARC (Activities and Recreation Center), where many students work out. Residence halls are a great way to get involved, meet people, and experience college. Wherever you choose to live, just make sure you make the most of your time at Illinois! I grew up in a really small town called Braidwood, Illinois. Before I attended the University of Illinois, I went to Joliet Junior College.
